Viridan Group is working with a fast-growing developer of community solar projects in the Northeast and Midwest United States.
Their team is looking to bring on a Junior Developer who will contribute to the generation of new solar development opportunities in New York State. The developer will also support varying stages of existing projects as they move towards NTP.
Responsibilities
- Utilize GIS tools to perform parcel queries and research to identify host parcel targets.
- Establish leads through direct outreach and communication with potential landowners
- Use GIS tools to research and identify land for project sites
- Conduct due diligence around constructibility, interconnection, and environmental constraints for potential projects
- Contribute to interconnection processes by creating applications, working with technical SMEs, and communicating with utilities
Qualifications
- 1+ year of work experience in project development or other related field
- Prior experience with renewable energy projects is preferred but not required
- Passionate about Renewable Energy and Sustainability
- Go-getter, motivated to work in to a fast-paced environment with uncapped earning potential
- Degree in engineering, economics, environmental studies, sustainability or other relevant coursework
Location
- New York City
- Must be willing and able to be in office up to 5 days per week
