$160 – 185,000 + 30% bonus
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a market-leading solar IPP, and add value to their ever growing pipeline across the States. They currently have nearly 400MW that are either operational or under construction, and a further 1.5GW in early or late-staged development – underpinning their success as a leading solar developer and owner.
This Engineering Manager will lead the engineering efforts for the development, construction, and operation of solar projects, as well as:
- Manage all technical aspects of project development including but not limited to system design, energy production forecasts, site assessment and technology selection,
- Line manage the engineering team, and collaborate with project managers, finance, procurement, and construction teams to ensure projects are designed and executed within budget, schedule, and quality standards,
- Lead the technical due diligence for site acquisition, including assessment of potential technical risks and mitigation strategies,
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimize the performance of solar assets, including technology upgrades and troubleshooting.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager who has:
- 7+ years’ experience in renewables engineering – with at least 5 in the solar industry,
- Experience designing and constructing ground-mount systems, as well as ideally coming from a construction background,
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, ideally with a PE License but not essential,
- Experience managing a team of Engineers,
- Managed all aspects regarding the engineering of solar projects, from development through construction and operation,
- Strong understanding of solar system components, design, and energy modeling tools.
