As a Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing and de-risking utility-scale BESS projects from early development through to execution. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to tackle technical challenges, ensuring project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and execute project engineering activities throughout all stages of development.
  • Develop project design basis documents and preliminary site designs.
  • Coordinate technical specifications with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Support the development of technical scopes of work and specifications for consulting and contracting services.
  • Review proposals and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Provide technical inputs for interconnection applications, permitting, and project proposals.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years’ experience in power delivery, substation, renewable energy, or energy storage preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and battery energy storage design preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to project sites.
