As a Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing and de-risking utility-scale BESS projects from early development through to execution. You’ll collaborate with a talented team to tackle technical challenges, ensuring project success.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and execute project engineering activities throughout all stages of development.
- Develop project design basis documents and preliminary site designs.
- Coordinate technical specifications with vendors and stakeholders.
- Support the development of technical scopes of work and specifications for consulting and contracting services.
- Review proposals and engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- Provide technical inputs for interconnection applications, permitting, and project proposals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development engineering standards and practices.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in power delivery, substation, renewable energy, or energy storage preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Familiarity with industry standards and battery energy storage design preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; AutoCAD proficiency preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to project sites.
