We’re partnered with a leading renewable energy Independent Power Producer with over 3 GW of operational solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and wind projects. We are seeking a talented and experienced Real Estate Senior Counsel to provide crucial support to our development, construction, and asset management teams on intricate real estate matters.
In this role, you will be responsible for navigating complex issues related to real estate within the renewable energy sector. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in facilitating the success of our projects and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development, construction, and asset management teams to address real estate-related challenges throughout project lifecycles.
- Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of real estate contracts, agreements, and documents.
- Provide legal guidance on land acquisition, permitting, leasing, easements, and other real estate matters.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Manage external legal counsel as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of experience practicing real estate law, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project development and operations.
- Experience with land acquisition, permitting, leasing, and easements.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Prior experience in an in-house legal role or at a law firm is desirable but not required.
