Viridan Group is partnered with an industry-leading Energy Storage solutions provider. The company is involved with some of the most advanced BESS sites in the US and boasts a 30+ GWh pipeline.
Given their pipeline growth, they are looking for a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join their team. This person will support on-site commissioning for some of the largest storage projects in the Western US.
Responsibilities
- Execute on-site commissioning activities, for utility-scale BESS
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure all third parties and internal resources are aligned
- Work closely with Commissioning Manager(s) to prepare schedules, plans, checklists, and more
- Resolve technical issues as they arise during the commissioning and installation phase.
- Inform and train the O&M team on processes to maintain fully commissioned system
- Plan and conduct on-site performance tests
- Troubleshoot and debug systems as necessary
Qualifications
- 2-5+ years of hands-on power generation commissioning experience
- 1-3+ years of on-site project experience
- Utility-scale Energy Storage experience is preferred
- Familiar with installation, commissioning, and construction processes for energy projects
- Willing and able to travel to project sites in the Western US 75% of the time
- Degree in engineering or a related discipline is required. Electrical Engineering is preferred
